Roy Kaufman, CCC’s Managing Director, Business Development and Government Relations, has been appointed to the Board of the United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA).
The USIPA Board features representatives of various organizations and constituencies that make up the Intellectual Property Ecosystem in the U.S., including the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Copyright Alliance, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), AT&T, IBM, and MIT, among others.
The USIPA’s mission is to provide the leadership and resources to make the U.S. a global model for the most diverse, efficient, and effective ecosystem to facilitate the creation, protection, and enablement of intellectual property for the economic and social well-being of its citizens.
“The U.S. is recognized as a world-leading, collaborative ecosystem for intellectual property creation that fuels prosperity and improves the quality of life in our communities,” said Kaufman. “I look forward to helping the USIPA bring awareness to what IP is, why it’s important, and how everyone can play a role for a more innovative America.”
